Hi, my name is Erin Pak. I am a mother, wife, and businesswoman.
When I started affiliate marketing, I spent most of my time on making review videos and creating landing pages. It was not successful at the beginning because I did not have my email subscribers to share my articles and reviews.
Why would I need my email subscribers?
To send out emails to your potential customers directly, you will get instant sales and traffics to your landing pages. If you use only the organic traffic to your brand new websites will take about 3~6 months to have a very small chance to make any sales.
Cold Emails..? Is it working?
Since I didn't have any subscribers before, I tried to use the software to collect email addresses all over the world to send out my cold emails. I made categories of the business owners and sent only plumbers or other certain positions about the website and online marketing services. Of course, I created the example websites for them to check.
But, only a few of them contacted me back for more details. It was not successful but still gained experience. I wanted to warn you if you purchase cheap Fiverr or eBay random business email addresses will ruin your business email because these emails will not work anyways. Your account will get a red flag from your email marketing provider.
How to collect emails?
I tried Websites-PBN sites, Running Ads on Bing because it's cheaper than Google ads, and Facebook Chat System.
Users would not want to share their email addresses for free. So, I shared something special to specifically targeted users. A new online marketer wants the fastest way to succeed in their business. I asked their email address, and who subscribed to my email list, I shared my online marketing tactics. Sharing a freebie works all the time to collect leads.
If you are an affiliate marketer, you can start to create a review video with yourself that appears in the video. You can make engagement with your viewers. And, add your bonus if users purchase a product through your link. Most affiliate marketers are using the MunchEye site to find the newest software and make their landing pages. If you use the JVZOO platform for your affiliate account, You can use the Affiliate Trax to collect emails who purchased through your link. JVZOO has limited email providers to integrate with. So, if you don't use what JVZOO offers, try Affiliate Trax.
I am using the ChatBot to collect leads.
Back in 2017, I purchased OptinChat, one of the bot systems to collect leads. I instantly added OptinChat code to all my sites to test. Since then, I was able to collect 30~50 email addresses per day from my main sites. So, I created more landing pages with high authority expired domain names to bring already having organic traffics. It was pretty successful in going forward to my online business life.
Use eBay, not Amazon for emails
I have been using the eBay platform to sell both digital and physical products. Not like Amazon, you don't need to pay monthly fees to eBay. You pay as you sell any of your products on eBay. You can create a multi sales page for one product. Use HTML to create your description. eBay is less strict than Amazon. Amazon will not allow you to add any of the digital products to sell.
The best part of using eBay is, you can collect customers' email addresses. You can follow up with your customers and let them know if you launch a new product with a coupon code.
On the other hand, Amazon does not allow sellers to check customers' email addresses, and sellers can't include or mention feedbacks and personal information in the message. The seller can only check the customer's name and address.
If you sell physical products only, you can try both platforms, eBay and Amazon. But for the digital products, use eBay and your personal websites only. Once Amazon finds out that you are selling what Amazon doesn't allow, they will suspend or terminate your account without any notice.
Used SMTP setup for sending emails
A ton of software out there is using the SMTP setup, which means you use your personal or business emails to connect with the software and send out emails. Well, there are PROS and CONS.
It's AFFORDABLE
- If you use WordPress, you can simply install the plugin to your site and start to collect emails and sending directly to your users. I used MAILIT. It's affordable and easy to use.
- If you are not using WordPress, you can check the web-based version. It's a version 2 of the MAILIT, MYMAILIT.
But....
If you use your Gmail, it's limited to send emails per day. It's not software; It's a Google limitation. If you exceed to send a number of emails per day, you will not be able to receive or send emails. For example, I sent emails to 300 users today, and the rest of the emails of 300 users will be sending the next day. But, what if I received 500 emails to my inbox in 24 hours, which is exceeded the number of the Google limit. What if I used the business email? You must wait for about 24 hours to start to receive and sending emails. That may hurt your business.
If you have more than 10,000 subscribers will take many days for them to receive your emails.
If users mark your emails as spam, all your emails will not arrive in the inbox. If you used your business emails, that would also hurt your business.
So, I started to use expansive email marketing providers. Yes, there are great free ones, but limited features. And, these free ones are risky to keep your subscribers. I heard many times from real users that their accounts were banned or kicked out from the software access without notice. Of course, all their subscribers are lost. It happens all the time. And, these email providers are less deliverability to the inbox.
These email marketing providers are expansive....
Before I found the right solution, I used to spend a lot of money for email service. If you do only affiliate marketing, you may not need to spend your money on buying products and resell.
I use Amazon, eBay, and websites to sell physical products. Some of them are drop shipping, which is not required for me to spend money before I earn. But, my main income is from Amazon Prime sales. I must send products to the Amazon warehouse.
If I earn $1,000 a month, I spend back of the 80% ($800) to find other products and buy. To save money and spending on the right software are very important.
What is my solution?
I found a brand new email marketing tool that is not required to set up the SMTP, easy to use, one-time cost, no limited to send out emails, and free all features updates. It's called SendFox.
